My favorite character in hetalia is Japan, so I'm surprised I haven't drawn a Japan-centric picture yet.
I love Black Kiku. He pops up occassionally in pixiv, and his name there is literally Black Kiku, or 黒菊 for the Kanji readers. I didn't know where he originally came from in the manga till I reread the China and Japan strips.

Is Japan's evil version suppose to depict Imperialism? I know it should because Imperial Japan committed war crimes that were just as evil as Nazi Germany's. Many say that Imperial Japan was even worse with their war crimes in terms of brutality. Sadly, many young people in Japan were never taught in school about their involvement in World War II. Many of them hardly know anything about WWII
